There is little doubt that experience and knowledge form the foundation of good yoga teaching. However, knowledge and technical skill alone are not enough to create lasting learning and meaningful transformation.
Yoga is an experiential science. For this reason, a yoga class should be structured like a laboratory – an experiential space that encourages exploration and experimentation. Only in this way can students gain genuine insights and experience meaningful “aha” moments.

Understanding Padmasana

Yoga often teaches that every limitation can be overcome. Reality is more nuanced. The anatomy of the hip joint differs considerably from person to person. Understanding this changes the way we practice Padmasana. Some people need more mobility. Others simply have a different anatomy.
